Lions Support Our Troops Campaign

The Rocky Point Lions Club reports that the club has now fully distributed boxes at various collection points in northeast Brookhaven for the purpose of sending needed care packages now for our troops overseas. At the collection points flyers are attached to the boxes informing the public of what items to place in the boxes. Once full, club members will make the pickups and send them to the troops. "Let's all do our part in showing we care about their health and welfare while they face arduous and dangerous conditions thousands of miles away," stated Club President Louis Gallo.

The collection sites are as follows:

Mount Sinai: On Rt. 25A (Family Time Party Rentals, Awosome Car Care, Coach Realtors, North Shore Beverage). On Rt. 347 (UPS Store at King Kullen). On Echo Ave. (Dr. Brian Yonks).

Miller Place: On Rt. 25A (Gio?s Pizza, Sprint/Nextel, Robert James Salon, Curves, Suffolk County National Bank, Powerhouse Gym). On Echo Ave. (Echo Pharmacy). On Miller Place Road (North Isle Chiropractic).

Sound Beach: On Echo Ave. (Nascar Gas/CND Automotive).

Rocky Point: On Rt. 25A (North Fork Banks, Koch Insurance Agency, DEKS Restaurant, A-1 Auto Body)

Shoreham: On Rt. 25A ( Suffolk County National Bank)

Wading River: On Rt. 25A ( Bank of Smithtown, North Shore United Methodist Church). On Wading River Manor Rd. ( Suffolk County National Bank).

Port Jefferson Sta.: On Old Town Rd. ( Christ Church United Methodist).

Coram: On Rt. 25 (North Fork Bank)
